Sewerage Service Charge Election - Village of Muscoda
AN ORDINANCE TO CREATE SECTION 9-2-18(d) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE Of THE VILLAGE OF MUSCODA, GRANT AND IOWA COUNTIES, WISCONSIN, RELATING TO SEWERAGE SERVICE CHARGE ELECTION
THE VILLAGE BOARD OF THE VILLAGE OF MUSCODA, GRANT AND IOWA COUNTIES, WISCONSIN, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section I: Section 9-2-18(d) of the Municipal Code shall be and is hereby created to read as follows:
"(d) Sewerage Service Charge Election. Residential users may elect to have their sewerage volume service charges for the months of June, July and August based upon an estimated amount of water usage. This estimated amount of water usage will be calculated by averaging the three previous months' (March-May) usage or estimated usage of water as shown on each user's water bills. This average will then be used to calculate the volume charge pursuant to subsection (a) of this section. For each year commencing in 1999, residential users wishing to make this election must submit a notice to the Sewer Utility prior to May 1 of each year in which the user wishes to make the election. For 1998, residential users wishing to make this election must submit a notice to the Sewer Utility on or before July 24, 1998 and the election will be effective for July and August. The election, once made in any year, cannot be revoked or modified. Residents making this election shall pay an annual processing fee of $5.00."
Section II: This ordinance shall take effect after its passage and publication as required by law.
