Guidelines for Quiet Zone Petition - City of De Pere

GUIDELINES FOR COMPLETING QUIET ZONE PETITION

I. Petitioner receives instructions, copy of ordinance and petition from City Clerk.

II. Instructions:

A. Submit map of area to be designated, or receive map from Clerk and Indicate area on it.

B. Clerk's Office will try to have property owner's list for designated area available within 72 hours. Taxpayer should call ahead to verify availability.

C. Verify all listed properties are non-business zoned. (If there are any Businesses included within a non-business zoned area, the owners of the businesses must agree to the same)

D. Obtain signatures - within three months.

1. As each tax parcel counts as one (1) towards the requisite number needed.

2. The signature count of the owners must be at least 5 1 % of the total tax parcel count for a successful petition.

E. Submit completed petition to City Clerk with $25.00 filing fee. After review by City Clerk, successful petitions will go before the Common Council for final approval.
