Play Vehicles - City of Cuba City

ORDINANCE CREATING SECTION 4.12 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF CUBA CITY

The Common Council of the City of Cuba City do ordain as follows:

Section 1. Section 4.12 of the Municipal Code of the City of Cuba City is hereby created as

(12) Play Vehicles. For the [purposes of this section, play vehicles shall consist of Skateboards, Scooters, In-Line-Skates, Roller Blades, Roller Skates and other peddle, push, gravity or articulated operating devices that can be manipulated, operated or otherwise used as some form of conveyance for a person or persons.

(a) No person shall ride or park a play vehicle upon a sidewalk along Main Street in the area zoned B-1 Business.

(b) Whenever any person is riding a play vehicle upon a sidewalk, such person shall yield the right of way to any pedestrian and shall give an audible signal before overtaking and passing any pedestrian.

(c) No person may operate a play vehicle on the property of any person or business in the area zoned B-1 Business without the written permission of the property owner.

(d) Penalties for a violation of this section shall be as specified in Section 4. 10 of this code.

Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its usage and publication as required by law.
