ORDINANCE NO.13-98 (1998) CITY OF WAUPACA WATER CONSERVATION ORDINANCE

The Common Council of the City of Waupaca do ordain as follows:

SECTION 1. §13.03, of the Municipal Code, entitled "Water Conservation Ordinance" is hereby created to read as follows:

Sec.13.03

(a) Unattended Outdoor City Water Use: All water use, other than hand held uses, shall only be allowed on the following schedule, including weekends and holidays:

1) Even Number addresses on even number dates of the month

2) Odd number addresses on odd number dates of the month

3) Hours: Before 8:00 a.m. and after 8:00p.m.

(b) Hand held watering for flowers, gardens, trees, shrubs, lawns, car washing, wading pools (under 50 gallons) and recreational purposes will be allowed at all times.

(c) Outdoor City water use that allows the water to run off to ditches, gutters, inlets, drains and pavements is strictly prohibited.

(d) Any person who violates any provision of this ordinance shall be subject to a penalty as provided in sec. 25.04 of this Code.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication according to law.
