The Municipality Cover Contest

The May, The Municipality is focused on Municipal Clerks.  The League of Wisconsin Municipalities (League) and the Wisconsin Municipal Clerks Association (WMCA) are partnering to find a new image that celebrates clerks for the cover of the League’s magazine, social media and other applications.   

Details:

Only municipal officials, including elected officials, and staff can enter the contest.  

Entries must be original work and can be any medium including photos.     

Include your name, title and municipality with your entry. 

Please attach your submission in an email to the League at league@lwm-info.org with the subject line: May Cover Contest 

Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 7th.   

You can enter more than once but please send each entry as a separate email.   

Names will be removed from all entries before they are judged by a panel of League staff.

Winning entry: 

The winner will receive a $100 gift card and the winning entry will be used as the cover of the May 2023 The Municipality magazine, as well as on social media and other mediums by the League of Wisconsin Municipalities and the WMCA.   The winner will be required to sign the right for use of the image over to the League and the WMCA.  

The Image Specifics:   

The image area for the cover is 8.75" wide by 7.5" tall (almost square). The jpg image must be 300 dpi. Keep in mind that there should be nothing too important (main focus of photo, text or signage that has to be read) in the bottom left corner of the photo since it will be covered by the mail panel on the print version of the magazine (see sample).
